Connecting to Tomorrow is helping youth achieve their future career aspirations. Meet Victoria. Led by @unitedwaymidcoastmaine, the Connecting to Tomorrow initiative is increasing youth hopefulness by supporting their career aspirations through internships and convening of a regional Youth Action Board. Thanks to grant funding, internships are paid, and students receive free transportation to and from their host sites, and Youth Action Board events. Trust for Public Land shared one of our films with the great news that the first 11,000 acres have been returned to the Penobscot Nation, restoring Penobscot stewardship over their homelands and creating easier access to their sacred mountain.
